X-ray phase contrast + Chicago Public Schools
Today, UofC Medical Physics successfully coordinated a professional learning day for Chicago Public School (CPS) teachers, covering waves and their applications in medical physics. As our Diversity & Outreach Committee student co-director, I helped organize the event and also gave a research talk on CT imaging with x-ray phase contrast. The day was the result of months of collaborative work with the UofC Cancer Center and CPS. We’re looking forward to next year!

Today the UofC Medical Physics Outreach Committee was at the South Side Science Festival, teaching our community about the science behind medical imaging!
